What I offer
I’m a writing coach, and I also offer editing services.
What’s the difference between coaching and editing? A lot.
A coach, like a tutor, helps the writer improve, but doesn’t touch pen to paper or finger to keyboard. The coach suggests, encourages, and critiques but doesn’t do any of the writing for the coachee.
An editor does make changes to the writer’s manuscript, going beyond encouraging and suggesting. The editor fixes grammar, rearranges sentences, adjusts formatting, and improves word choices.
Whether you need coaching or editing, or some mix of the two, I can help.
Online Coaching Session
We can meet online for a one-hour session or series of sessions to discuss your writing questions and goals in-depth.
writing Critique
I’ll read and comment on your copy or manuscript with an eye toward helping you revise. My years of teaching and tutoring experience help me help you improve.
copyEditing
I’ll do a thorough edit of your copy or manuscript for grammar, sentence smoothness, and clarity. The content is your responsibility, but I’ll remove distracting errors and produce a clean manuscript.
